Soon after graduation he started working as a personal trainer while obtain certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In 2004, after 3 years of personal training in the U.S. and Japan, Derrek discovered MAT (muscle activation techniques) which was a new alternative wellness technique that addresses muscular weakness rather than tightness to treat muscle imbalances which can allow clients to have a healthy and most importantly a pain-free lifestyle. Currently Derrek is the only person practicing MAT in Luxembourg, and there are only 3 in all of Europe. |
